Muktinath is one of the most sacred Buddhist and Hindu sites in Nepal which is venerated by both Buddhist and Hindu devotees. The temple seats along Annapurna trekking trail making equally popular for tourists and trekkers.

Also called Chumig Gyatsa, Muktinath is regarded as Avalokitesvara by Buddhists and Vishnu by Hindus. Worshipping here is believed to provide pilgrims ultimate salvation. The temple located at an altitude of about 3800m consists of a statue, eternal flame and 108 stone taps..Visitors to Muktinath will be rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalaya peaks, Kali Gandaki Gorge situated between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and a unique culture and cuisine of Thakali ethnic community. The temple is easily accessible from Pokhara with scenic flights regularly operating from Pokhara to Jomsom. There are also now motorable connecting Pokhara and Jomsom to Muktinath. Besides, on this tour, you will also visit popular Muktinath Temple as well as world heritage sites in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur and Patan.

Day1Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport.

On your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be received by our office representative and transferred to hotel. Visit office in the afternoon for travel paperwork.

Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day2Trip preparation and city tour of Kathmandu or Patan and Bhaktapur.

Today, you will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudha Stupa, Swoyambhu Stupa and Pashupatinath.

Alternatively, you can choose to visit world heritage sites in Bhakatapur and Patan. By late afternoon you will drive back to your hotel.

Day3Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) stopping at Kurintar to visit Manakmana Temple

After early morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) On the way you will make a sidetrip to Manakamana Temple by travelling on a cable car. This Temple is quite famous among Nepalese as it is believed that worshiping at this temple helps to turn your wishes into reality. After the visit, you will continue your journey towards Pokhara.

Pokhara is the tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples. Pokhara is surrounded by high green hills commanding magnificent views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Macchapuchre and Lamjung Himal.

Day4Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (2700m) takes about 25 minutes.

This morning, after breakfast, enjoy a short mountain flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Then drive from Jomsom to Muktinath (3850m) that lasts about 2 hours. Muktinath or Chumig Gyatsa is one of the most sacred places in the Himalaya for Buddhists and Hindus. This ancient temple has a statue of Avalokitesvara.

In Muktinath, we’ll spend some time exploring the religious site, and see the eternal flame that burns on a natural gas source. Visiting this temple is believed to offer you salvation. The temple has 108 taps flowing with sacred water where devotees take holy bath. Later you will drive back to Jomsom.

Day5Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara takes about 25 minutes.

You will take this short flight taking in panorama of Himalayan peaks back to Pokhara. The flight only occurs during morning period.
In Pokhara you can spend the day sightseeing round. You will visit World Peace Pagoda, International Mountain Museum, David Falls, Bindhbasini Temple, Mahadev Cave, etc.

Day6Drive to Sarangkot for the sun rise view

Early morning drive to Sarangkot to catch sunrise views and Himalayan panorama. Afterwards drive back to hotel for breakfast after which you will enjoy long drive back to Kathmandu.
