Muktinath is the most sacred Hindu site in Nepal after the temple of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. Muktinath is one of the sacred places of worship for the Hindus in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal. The famous temple of Lord Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 km northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meter. The main shrine is a pagoda shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Visitors can enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas, fabulous valley of Kaligandaki and the diversity of ethnic culture.
On your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted with flower garlands/Khadas. Our representative will then take you to your hotel. If time prevails, you will visit office for paperwork. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, you will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and Pashupatinath. Alternatively, you can choose Bhakatapur and Patan sightseeing. By late afternoon you will drive back to your hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the tourist bus station. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) via Kurintar, where you will enjoy cable car riding to visit Manakamana Temple. This Temple is quite famous among Nepalese and Indians as it is believed that worshiping of this temple helps to turn your wishes into reality.
Pokhara is the tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples along with the magnificent views of LamjungHimal, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many other mountain peaks. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
You take the spectacular early morning flight to Jomsom. You will drive from Jomsom to Muktinath (3850m.) thattakes about 2 hours. Muktinath is one of the most sacred places in the Himalaya for Hindus, Buddhists and Vaishnava. Itis one of the most ancient Hindu temples of God Vishnu.
In Muktinath, we’ll spend some time exploring the religious site, and see the eternal flame that burns on a natural gas source. “Mukti” means liberation and “nath” means a holy temple, so Muktinath is considered to be a temple of soul liberation.
You will also participate in other ritual functions at Muktinath Temple. The outer courtyard has 108 taps through which sacred water is poured. Though the water temperature is almost freezing, you are allowed to take holy bath if you are interested.Muktinath Temple and Kaligandaki River are also popular for Saligramswhich are essential to establish a temple of Vishnu anywhere in the world. Later you will drive back to Jomsom. Stay overnight at lodge.
The flight is a scenic one with panoramic views of Himalayan peaks, especially Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri etc. and Kaligandaki River. The flight to/from Jomsom happens only in the morning because of high wind in afternoon time.
You will go for Pokhara sightseeing during the day. You will visit World Peace Pagoda, International Mountain Museum, David Falls, Bindhbasini Temple, Mahadev Cave, etc. during your Pokhara sightseeing. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Early morning drive to Sarangkot for the sun rise view and drive back to hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
As per your flight schedule, our airport representative will transfer from your hotel to the airport for your final departure.
