Mt. Kailash – Mansarovar Tour is perhaps one of the best trips ever to Tibet, or the roof of the world. The major highlights of the tour includes three days of Kora around Mt. Kailash, exploration of Lake Manasarovar and adventurous crossing of the two highest passes in the world - Drolma La (5620m) and Kongtang Lhamo pass (5236m). These two passes offer magnificent panorama of Mt. Shishapangma, the 14th highest mountain in the world, as well as Mt. Gurla Mandhata (7694m).
Much of the journey takes place through surreal and exotic Tibetan landscape that is dotted with lakes, waterfalls, monasteries and verdant wildlife. You will have a rare opportunity to interact with Tibetans, observe them in their unique nomadic life and learn about Buddhist culture. Among other attractions of this tour is visit to Yarlung Tsangpo River, Peaku Tso lake and Chiu Monastery. The trek begins and ends in Rasuwagadhi in Rasuwa district, just 100km north of Kathmandu, along the the Nepal-Tibet border point.
Our representative will pick you up from hotel in Kathmandu in the morning then we will drive through small mountain roads to the border at Nepalese side, on the way you can enjoy the waterfall, rivers & forest. After arriving in Kerung, We will meet our Tibetan guide and driver at Nepal-Tibet border and make the necessary immigration paper work and then continue our drive to Kerung town at the distance of 20 Km. Overnight at Kerung town.
One day rest in kerung for acclimatization and preparation of hiking. Overnight in Kerung.
After breakfast your journey will start to saga through Ghantula pass (5226 meter) viewing the beautiful scenery of Bramhaputra river. Overnight in Saga.
After breakfast you will start your journey to Mansarovar through dongpamahim la pass and first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat and Mansarovar through Beautiful surroundings. Overnight in Mansarovar.
After finishing the holy bath and ritual puja in Mansarovar Lake, we will continue our drive to Darchen which is also known as base camp of Mount Kailash.Overnight in Darchen.
After the morning breakfast, the drive will start for about 7 km by Bus to Yamadwar. The journey of hiking trip starts by walking along the beautiful hills waterfalls and beautiful clear blue sky facing the great view of mount kailash.Overnight in Dirapuk.
Before Sunrise your journey begins from Derapuk to zuthulpuk passing the highest pass Dolma La pass (of height 5630 Meter) and viewing the holy place gaurikunda on the way.
The journey of the hiking trip ends after walking for over 2 hours for distance of around 10 km. After morning breakfast you will return to saga by bus. Overnight in saga.
After morning Breakfast your drive will start from saga to kerung. Overnight in Kerung.
After morning Breakfast your drive will start from Kerung to Kathmandu through Rasuwagadhi, after reaching Kathmandu at the evening our journey will be completed.
