Royal trek is one of short and relaxing treks Nepal has to offer. Royal Trek provides some wonderful up close views of both Machapuchere (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. It has been named after Prince of Wales who first trekked in this region. It is also called the Annapurna Skyline trek.
Royal trekking is the best trek for those who want to experience village life and striking mountain views in a relatively short period of time, and will be good for those trekkers who like to go in less tourist area of Annapurna region.
Pokhara valley serves as the starting and ending point of the Royal trek. The trekking trail follows a semi-circle route to the north-west direction of Pokhara, no higher than 1500m and is recommended as the winter trip for families with children.
After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the tourist bus station. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) takes about seven hours. The drive will take most of our morning time, leaving much of the afternoon to get a warm glimpse of Pokhara Valley and its beauty. If you choose to fly, you can reach Pokhara in 25 minutes. There are several flights from morning to afternoon available from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Pokhara is the tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples along with the magnificent views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many other mountain peaks. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
A broad trail starts through rice fields near the Army Camp, and then ascends through Rakhigaon to a Chautara, a resting place under a large pipal tree. En route, you enjoy the panoramic views. Now the trail climbs gently along a ridge top through the Brahmin and Chhetris villages towards Kalikasthan (1370m.). At the end, you climb a short distance to the campsite which is situated above the village with panoramic views of the mountain, Begnas Tal and Pokhara city. Stay overnight at lodge.
The trail follows along the forested ridge top along a rough driveble road passing through Thulokot and Majhthana (1220m.). Your trail then begins to climb gently for some distance and proceeds through Naudanda. At the end, you descend gently towards Lipeyani. From here, you can see panoramic views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and Manasalu. Stay overnight at lodge.
The trail follows along the drivable road for some distance and then starts to climb gently for a short time. You then begin on a level trek to Shaklung village (1250m.), a Gurung village. Your trek then follows along the broad drivable road passing through forests until reaching Ramkot (1030m.), then descends steeply to cross a road named Sarka Bhanjyang (870m.). Your trail then climbs steeply on a stone staircase through chestnut forests to the Mohariya Bhanjyang (1130m.). Still you continue to climb gently towards Chisapani village, a home of the Gurung community. Your campsite is about 50 meters above the village. From here, you can enjoy the beautiful views of different mountains as well as green hills and terraces. Stay overnight at lodge.
From Chisapani Danda, you descend along the ridge for an hour or so and then descend steeply along the stone steps, into a small valley and stream that feeds Rupa Taal. Continue for a short distance through rice fields, and then make a final ascent to the ridge that separates Begnas Taal and Rupa Taal. This ridge is called Sundari Danda (720m.) and means pretty hills. From these hills, your trek continues to climb gently before descending into Begnas Taal Bazaar. You can then take a vehicle to get back to Pokhara (914m.). Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
After breakfast early morning, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu that takes about seven hours. En route, you will enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. If you choose to fly back to Kathmandu, it takes about 25 minutes. There are several flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara from morning to afternoon. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Every thing is perfect: Guide, carrier(good person). I have a particular preference for Galaxy Hotel at Naldum (Kavre) where meals are good and where we have a beautiful views from the top of the mountain. I recommend to all of you to go trekking with Environmental Organisation. See every body soon again!
