Treading along the unexplored trails of Dhulikhel can be very an exhilarating and enriching experience. The stupa and shrines at Namobuddha in addition to the temples at Dhulikhel are worth visiting as it will provide a spiritual feeling and tremendous peace within you.
After early morning breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m) that takes about one hour along the paved road. Begin your trek through Shivapuri Watershed and National Park. Stop at Mulkharka village for lunch and thereafter ascend to Borlang Bhanjyang (2430m) and trek down to Chisapani (2215m). Chisapani offers magnificent views from Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gauri Shankar and Everest along with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Stay overnight at lodge.
Your trek starts leading you to Chauki Bhanjag, which takes about 2 and half hours. You continue the charming trail which leads you toward Nagarkot. Nagarkot, (2175m.) is by far one of the most popular destinations in Nepal. In clear weather the Himalaya range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitor with its awe inspiring majesty and beauty. Stay overnight at Lodge.
The most popular walk leads down from Nagarkot along a ridge to the temple of Changu Narayan-with views of Sankhu village to the right and Bhaktapur to the left. Changunarayan is situated at the end of a long ridge which runs well into the valley, it is said to have been built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings and is said to be the oldest temple in the valley. After an excursion in and around Changunarayan you board your vehicle to drive back to Kathmandu.
