Flights start between Bharatpur (Chitwan) and Pokhara

Good news for tourists visiting Pokhara and/or Chitwan National Park. Private airlines are ready to start flight on Bharatpur-Pokhara route from 15 September.

Buddha Air, a leading private airlines, is planning to debut Bhaktapur-Pokhara and Pokhara- Bharatpur flights, come 15 September. Tourists will now be able to fly from Bharatpur (Chitwan) to Pokhara and vice versa instead of travelling by road. This is a good option for those who want to avoid long road travels and traffic jam along Narayangarh-Muglin section. 

Bharatpur is home to Chitwan National Park and Pokhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal. Chitwan National Park, the oldest national park in Nepal is a world heritage site. It is home to rare wild animals such as rhinos, elephants and tigers. Pokhara is second most popular tourist city in Nepal, renowned for lakes, waterfalls, mountains and Annapurna trekking.

For thousands of tourists travelling between Bharatpur and Pokhara every day, this is certainly an excellent news. This will help tourists save time and costs as well as make their travelling more comfortable and fun.

According to Buddha Air’s manager Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, an 18-seater Beechcraft will take off from Bharatpur at 10:00 am and at 10:30 am from Pokhara. One-way transport fare is fixed at Rs 3,600 (US$35) per person.
