This
short trip is ideal for those wanting to see
the highlights of Tibet and Lhasa.Fly in Tibet
You fly or drive across the Himalaya to Lhasa,
where you have plenty of time to visit the
main sights in and around the town including
the Potala Palace, the Norbulingka (the Dalai
Lama’s summer palace) and the Jorkhang
Temple which contains Jowo Shakyamuni, the
most holy statue to all Tibetan Buddhists.
You also visit the major monasteries in the
Lhasa Valley including Samye, Drepung and Sera.
You then drive along the Friendship Highway
to Nepal, one of the most spectacular road
journeys in the world. You visit the towns
and monasteries in both Gyantse and Shigatse
and then have a spectacular drive across the
Tibetan Plateau with great views of Everest
from the north side and Shishapangma, the only
8,000m mountain situated totally in Tibet.
Finally you drive through the Himalaya and
down into a spectacular gorge back to Nepal
and Kathmandu. You can also fly back from Lhasa
to Kathmandu.

Drive from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by bus takes about sixteen hours. Stay overnight at hotel in Nepalgunj.

2
Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot (2,856 m.). Stay overnight in camp.
Day 3
Trek from Simikot to Darapani (2,507m.). Stay overnight in camp.
Day
4
Trek from Dharapani to Sali Khola (2,650m.). Stay overnight in camp.
Day 5
Trek from Sali Khola to Muchu (2,912m.). Stay overnight in camp.
Day 6
Trek from Muchu to Yari (3670m.).Stay overnight at camp.
Day 7
Trek from Yari to Hilsa (3720m.). Stay overnight at camp.
Day 8
Drive from Hilsa to Purang. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 9
Drive from Purang to Lake Manasarovar. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 10
Drive from Lake Manasarovar to Darchen. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 11-13
Trekking around Mt. Kailash. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 14
Attend the Saga Dawa Festival, and then drive to Tirthupuri. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 15
Drive from Tirthupuri to Tsaparang. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 16
In Tsaparang visit the Guge Kingdom and Toling Temple. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 17
Drive from Tsaparang to Lake Manasarovar. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 18
Drive from Lake Manasarovar to Paryang. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 19
Drive from Paryang to Saga. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 20
Drive from Saga to Nyalam. Stay overnight at camp/lodge.
