early morning take a trip to Gurudongmar
Lake. The lake is at 17,600 ft altitude.
This lake is one of the most sacred lakes
of Sikkim. Then drive back to Lachen by
10 a.m. While on the way back to Lachen
Visit Chopta Valley at 14,000 ft and witness
the beauty of the Himalayas. Then by afternoon
back to Lachen for lunch. After lunch you
can proceed for Lachung Village. Lachung
is also a small village, only the basic
facilities are available here. It will
be a Village stay, but the nature’s
vistas compensates all those facilities.

Sikkim is the 22nd state of India that
came into existence with effect from 26th
April, 1975. Sikkim state being a part
of inner mountain ranges of Himalayas,
is hilly having varied elevation ranging
from 300 to 8540 meters. days But the habitable
areas are only up to the altitude of 2100
mtrs. Constituting only 20% of the total
area of the state. Sikkim has been divided
into four districts and each district has
further been bifurcated into two sub-divisions
for administrative purpose.
