Sikkim is the 22nd state of India that
came into existence with effect from 26th
April, 1975. Sikkim state being a part
of inner mountain ranges of Himalayas,
is hilly having varied elevation ranging
from 300 to 8540 meters. But the habitable
areas are only up to the altitude of 2100
mtrs. Constituting only 20% of the total
area of the state. Sikkim has been divided
into four districts and each district has
further been bifurcated into two sub-divisions
for administrative purpose.
The highest portion of Sikkim lies in its
north west direction. A large number of mountains
having altitudes of about seven thousand
meters stands here with - Kanchenjunga (8598
m.), The third highest peak in the world.
The high serrated, snow capped spurs and
peaks of Kanchenjunga look attractive consisting
of Kumbha Karna (7711 m.), Pendem (6706 m.),
Narsingh (5825 m.), Kabru Dome (6545 m.),
etc. A number of glaciers descends from eastern
slopes of Kanchenjunga into Sikkim where
snow clad line is found above 5300 mtrs.
The biggest of them is Zemu, from whose snout
above Lachen monastery rises the river Teesta.

1 |
Fly from Kathmandu to Kakarvitta (Bhadrapur), a small town on the Indo-Nepal border which is about 110 kms from Darjeeling. Transfer from Bhadrapur airport to Darjeeling (4/5 hours drive). Stay overnight at the hotel in Darjeeling. |

2 |
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill to view the sunrise over Mt.Kunchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. On the way back, visit the Ghoom Monastery located at the highest natural railway station in the world. Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Darjeeling that includes – Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, nearest tea garden to witness the manufacturing process of Darjeeling tea. Stay overnight at the hotel. |

3 |
Transfer to Pelling (West Sikkim), (72 kms, 4/5 hrs drive) via Jorethang. Pelling offers the awe-inspiring views of Eastern Himalayas. Sightseeing tour of Pelling includes Pemayangtse Monastery, Kechipalri Lake, Kunchenjunga Water Falls and the ruins of Rabdentse the second palace of erstwhile Sikkim . Stay overnight at the hotel. |

4 |
Drive to Yambong (approximately 10 kms) then take a short trek to Rimbi, Altitude: 3600 meters. Rimbi is a small village inhabited by the ethnic Sikkimese Bhutia and Lepchas. In the evening, attend a cultural program organized by the local community and enjoy the hospitality. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek Rimbi - Neytham to Sang Khola, 7 kms/5 hrs (2050 m). Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek Sang Khola to Nayapatal 6km/4 hrs, Altitude: 2500 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Nayapatal to Upper Yamgong , 7 kms/5 hrs, alt.,3735 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Yambong to Gomathang, 5kms/4hrs, alt., 3735. En route stop at Daphney Bhir to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas of Nepal and Sikkim . Stay overnight in the Camp. |

Trek from Gomathang to Pangding, 5 km/4 hrs, Altitude: 4210mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Pangding to Dzongri, 7 km/5 hrs, Altitude: 3735 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Dzongri to Lamune, 7 km/5 hrs, alt. 4164 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Lamune-Samiti-Thangsing, 8 km/7 hrs, alt. 3936 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Thangsing to Tshoka, 7 km/5 hrs. alt.2828 mtrs. Stay overnight in the camp. |

Trek from Tshoka to Yuksom, 7 km/5hrs. Stay overnight in the Hotel. |
| Day 15 |
Drive from Yuksom( Sikkim) to Kakarvitta (Bhadrapur Airport) for onward flight to Kathmandu. |
