At least 15 persons were killed and six injured when an aircraft of Agni Air crashed near Jomsom airport at around 9:30 am on May 14. The ill-fated Dornier aircraft with registration 9N AIG was carrying 21 persons, including three crew members and 18 foreigners. Those rescued have been airlifted to Pokhara for treatment. Air hostess Roshni Haiju and two Danish nationals were brought to Pokhara by an aircraft of Tara Air, while two Indian children and an adult were flown to Manipal Hospital by a Simrk Air helicopter. All the passengers were heading toward Muktinath temple, according to officials.
