The aim of this package is to provide the best experience for those travelers who has limited time of stay in Nepal or cannot trek to high altitudes due to health condition or age factor. This package will include the Cultural Heritage, Pilgrimages, Ethnicity, Wild Life entertainment and History of Nepal.

Brief Description Of The Places To Visit In Kathmandu:

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the most popular tourist destinations as enlisted in World Heritage Sites. Clustered around the central Durbar Square are the old Royal Palace (Hanuman Dhoka), numerous interesting temples, the Kumari Chowk or Kumari Bahal (House of the Living Goddess) and the Kasthamandap (House of Wood) from which Kathmandu derived its present name. An exquisitive exploration in Durbar Square reveals the ancient art and architecture of Nepal.

Pashupatinath Temple

Situated 5 kilometers east of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors are permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, as entrance to the temple is strictly forbidden to non Hindu. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March.

Boudhanath Stupa

This Stupa, situated 8 kilometers east of Kathmandu city, is one of the biggest stupa in the world. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. This Buddhist Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Joiner. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is encircled by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.

Swayambhunath Stupa

Swayambhunath is located approximately 4 kilometers and this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar Square, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. One remarkable monument here is the 17th century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Krishna, built entirely of stone.

Chitwan:

Chitwan has had a long history of preservation. For many years it was the Royal hunting grounds for the Kings and dignitaries of Nepal and therefore was not hunted by the general public. It did however become a chosen spot for big game safari hunters in the late nineteenth and early to mid-twentieth centuries. This was united with a surge in local human populations following the development of anti-malaria medicines in the mid-twentieth century. In Chitwan the visitors can enjoy the Canoe trip, Bird watching, Jungle Drive, Nature Walk, Elephant Bathing, Elephant Safari, Village Tour, Crocodile Walk and Cultural Program.

Lumbini:

Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is situated 230 km away from Kathmandu in Rupendehi District of Southern Terai (lowland), at an altitude of 600 ft. above sea level. Lumbini has many new monasteries occupied by different nations. The China temple, which is a very beautiful pagoda styled temple with many prayer and meditation cells. In Lumbini the visitors can get the insight into the life of Lord Buddha and the development of Buddhism. Around 62 archaeological sites here preserve the significance to the life, enlightenment and death of Buddha.

Pokhara:

Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

On this day you will  visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Budanilkantha and Pashupatinath.  Early morning enjoy the sun rise view and drive to Bhaktapur via Changunarayan. It is also possible to hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan in 2-3 hours. Day time, you enjoy the sightseeing in and round Changunarayan and Bhaktapur and drive to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Changunarayan is situated at the end of a long ridge which runs well into the valley. It is said to have been built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings. It is said to be the oldest temple in the valley.

Bhaktapur (1,401m) covers an area of four square miles. Bhaktapur which means the city of devotees still retains a medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town are treated to myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. The past glory of the Malla rules continues to be reflected at the Durbar Square. Pottery and waving are its traditional industries. Bhaktapur is famous for woodcarving and the traditional topi or cap. The city lies about 14 km east of Kathmandu. The places of interest include Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the National Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple and Dattatreya Square. 

Bhaktapur Durbar Square The main square of the city contains innumerable temples and other architectural wonders such as lion gate, the golden gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, Dattatraya Temple etc. 

A magnificent statue of King Bhupatindra Malla in the act of worship is placed on a column facing the palace. It was listed in the UNESCO world Heritage Monument List in 1979.

Palace of 55 Windows Being built by King Yaksha Malla in 1427 A.D. and remodeled by King Bhupatindra Malla in the 17th century, the balcony and the windows are intricately carved is a masterpiece of wood carving.

Nyatapola Temple This five storied Pagoda Style temple was built by King Bhupatindra Malla in 1708 A.D. is well known for its massive structure and subtle workmanship. It is the tallest pagoda structure in Nepal.

Chitwan National Park

Recognized as the world heritage site, it is the oldest national park in Nepal with a total area of 932 sq. km. Situated in the southern Terai of Nepal, the park contains tropical and subtropical forests, which is home to 68 species of mammals, 56 species of fauna and 126 species of fish and 544 species of birds. The park is well known for its protection of endangered One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, wild Asiatic elephant and Gharial Crocodile. A total of 22 globally threatened species have been recorded in the park. 

Brief description of the activities: 

Elephant back safari: On elephant back you can view the wild life of the area in their natural habitat. 

Bird Watching: For the bird watchers, it is Paradise Island with over 450 species of exotic birds of domestic as well as migratory birds. Many are threatened, e.g. the Great pied hornbill, Bengal Florican, Peregrine falcon, lesser adjutant storks, etc. A bird watching trip will be a memorable experience. 

Nature Walk: Our experienced naturalists will accompany you to the more specialized habitats. This is the ideal opportunity to explore and experience at closer quarters and beauty of the flora and fauna. The authority of the naturalist must be closely observed to obviate any risks from wildlife attacks.

Elephant Breeding Centre: This is the first Elephant breeding centre in Asia. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies. This centre is government owned and its purpose is to raise the young elephants, and to train them to convey tourist around the region.

Village tour: Excursion in Tharu village will grant you an exhilarating experience. Tharus are the indigenous inhabitant of the Terai. We offer guided cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life. 

Cultural Program: In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of Tharu folk dance. The drummers and symbolic stick dancers perform traditional movements and invite guests to join them in this rhythmic display. Such cultural shows performed by Tharus will be an unforgettable experience. The Tharus in traditional colorful costumes are sure to captivate you.

Elephant Bathing: Your guide will take you to the specific place where you can observe elephant bathing.

Crocodile Walk: One more option is to go for crocodile walk. It goes through grassland and forest along the bank of Rapti / Narayani River. 

Canoe Trip: You can enjoy canoe trip on either The Rapti River or The Budhi Rapti River which borders the National Park. You can see two types of crocodiles, the Gharial and Mugger basking on the river bank.

Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast early morning, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu that takes about seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you pass through Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and finally Kurintar where Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you will enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. Leaving Kurintar you head towards Thankot via Naubise. Thankot is the entry point to Kathmandu. If you choose to fly back to Kathmandu, it takes about 25 minutes. There are several flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara from morning to afternoon. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
