Monsoon Trekking Package
Nepal is a traveler’s destination round the year. Just like Spring, Autumn and Winter, Nepal can also be visited during monsoon or summer season.
The monsoon season starts from June and continues till August. The season is characterized by increase in temperature and copious amount of rainfall. The rainfall occurs by natural process when the warm wind from Bay of Bengal collides with the Himalayas.
Short city tours within Kathmandu Valley- a world heritage site, are available in monsoon. It is also great to visit Pokhara. You will have plenty of things to attend from cultural programs and museum to visiting palaces and temples.
Monsoon is a perfect time to visit Nepal to see Nepali farmers engage in planting rice, maize, buckwheat etc mainly in the southern plains and hilly region. The sight of farmers taking to the field in groups planting crops while singing folk songs will absolutely entertain and mesmerize you. If you are interested in working like farmer, you can easily jump in and make the best of your time. There are tourist festivals held in villages where tourists can take part in farming and help local farmers.
Trekking in Nepal during monsoon season is another best option. There are rain shadow areas in Nepal such as Langang, Mustang, Annapurna Circuit, Jomsom which receive no rainfall when rest of the country does. Mustang and Annapurna Circuit are the best trekking destinations for trekkers. Since they fall in rain shadow region, they are prefect safe place to trek. Trekking to higher reaches of Everest region is also possible where there are no rainfalls during this season.
We also organize Tibet Tours during monsoon season. Our programs include visit to Lhasa, Central Tibet, Kailash (Tise), Mansarovar, Everest Base Camp from Tibet side and many more.
Being in the rainshadow area of India, visiting Ladakh in northeastern India is also another suitable option.
Upper Mustang is undoubtedly one of most special and popular trekking areas in Nepal. With the aim to preserve its centuries-old culture and pristine, unspoiled natural biodiversity, the government of Nepal has designated the area as ‘controlled’ region to promote sustainable tourism.
You can encounter a gamut of topological variations in the Annapurna Circuit trek within the duration of a normal trek. Aptly titled as Nepal’s classic trek the Annapurna Circuit trek displays divergent landscape ranging from the sub-tropical region to the alpine region and the semi-desert region.
Jomsom Trek is a great way to absorb stunning mountain views and spend time in quaint and remote villages in the Annapurna region. The Jomsom trek takes you to an ancient kingdom of Mustang where lifestyles of locals have not changed since centuries. Visit the shrine of Muktinath and mesmerize by the barren landscape of Mustang.
Lhasa-Namsto Lake Tour will take you to Lhasa and Namtso Lake at 4718m, the highest point of the trip. Sightseeing in Lhasa involve tour of Potala & Norbulinka Palace, the old summer palace of the Dalai Lama., Drepung & Sera Monastery and Jokhang Temple, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism.
Tibet has long been known as 'The Roof of the world'. It lies in the south western part Tibet Overland Tour of China bordering India, Bhutan, Sikkim Nepal. The region is full of spectacular skylines of majestic mountain peaks, breathtaking canyons, scattered highland lake, rolling pasture & farm land & pristine forests.
