Mount Dhaulagiri Expedition

Trip Highlights:

Duration: 59, 60 Days

Type of Trek: Camping

Max Altitude: 8167 m.

Minimum Pax: 1 +

Mode of travel: Flight

Grade: Strenuous

Mt. Dhaulagiri at 8167m is the world’s seventh highest peak in the world. Dhaulagiri is a cluster of peaks which prominently include Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV and V. Owing to its distinctive white mass of snow the peak is also referred to as the ‘white mountain’.

Swiss-Austrian expedition led by Max Eiselin made the first successful ascent of Mt. Dhaulagiri in 1960. Although routes have been opened from almost all the directions, northeast ridge route remains the most popular route for climbing Dhaulagiri. Mt. Dhaulagiri presents an extraordinary experience of climbing, a very demanding and daunting challenge. The views from the top affords a fantastic view Dhaulgairi peaks, Annapurna, Macchapuchre and the Kali Gandaki valley including the deepest gorge in the world.
