One of the most sought after trekking destinations in Nepal is the Annapurna region trekking. The kaleidoscopic palette of physical and cultural landscape of this region adds an arresting and new flavor to trekking in Nepal.
Located in central Nepal Annapurna region stretches to encompass sub-tropical rainforest, alpine meadows, windswept plateaus, deep gorges and valleys and peopled by culturally diverse communities like Brahmins, Newars, Magars, Tibetans, Chettris and Manangis. Owing to its physical and cultural diversity the Annapurna region has been declared as area of conservation and sustainable development by The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) working in tandem with King Mahendra Trust for nature conservation.
The Annapurna region offers three major trekking routes namely to Jomsom, to Annapurna Sanctuary and to Annapurna Circuit. Trekking this region allows you to admire close up views of Marsyangdi valley, Manaslu, Himalchuli, Lamjung and Manang.
